Universal Johnny Joint Style Front 3-Link Conversion Brackets
Have you wanted to 3-link the front of your rig? Dave's Customs Unlimited universal Johnny joint style front 3-link conversion brackets were designed to eliminate all the guess work with the proper geometry all figured out. Upper and lower link mounts are integrated into one unit and are a great way to 3-link the front or stretch the wheel base of your jeep and have a coil spring or coil over shock front suspension. Brackets fit the front frame of most Jeep CJ, YJ, TJ, early Bronco, and Toyota's.
The lower link mounts can be angled out for adequate placement of lower links and then get welded to an L section of steel. The upper mount is a straight mount design (welding is required), which can be mounted on either driver or passenger side frame bracket, which allows the installer more flexibility to locate the upper control arm in the best location because of engine, transmission, and exhaust clearance. Then, you can simply slip them onto the frame and weld them in place at desired location.
- SUPER HEAVY DUTY brackets are sold as a pair and are CNC cut and CNC bent from USA-made 1/4" thick, HRP&O steel.
- NOTE: With this 3-link setup, a front track bar is necessary to locate the front end underneath your rig.
- Check out our universal lower track bar mount (TBLW) and the universal upper track bar mount (TBUP).
- Each upper and lower link mount has a 9/16" hole which is designed to fit DCU's 1 1/4" x 1" rod ends with high style misalignment bushings or the Johnny style joints with a 2 5/8" inside mounting width. No mounting hardware included with brackets. Welding required.
- DCU recommends our 1 1/4 " x 1"(XM16) rod ends with our high style misalignment bushings (HMS10-16) . Johnny style joints or other brands of rod ends should work with a misalignment bushing of the correct dimensions.
- NOTE: These brackets have a 9/16" bolt hole which can be easily drilled out for larger bolts.
- NOTE: These brackets have a 2 5/8" inside mounting width.
