Jeep CJ 1976 to 1986 LS Series and Gen III Conversion Engine Mounts

Have you been thinking about swapping in an LS or Gen III engine in your Jeep CJ?

Dave's Customs Unlimited heavy duty engine mounts were designed to simplify your engine conversion. Made from CNC cut and CNC bent 3/16" and 1/4" thick HRP&O steel for a precise fit.

Engine dampening is conquered by the heavy duty polyurethane bushings and coupled with the block brackets with grade 8 hardware and all metal lock nuts. We have designed these heavy duty conversion engine mounts with the do-it-yourselfer in mind and have incorporated some adjustability into them. The block mounts are slotted which allows the installer to slightly fine tune engine placement side to side. Frame mounts can be slid slightly front to back on the frame for desired positioning before welding.

NOTE: Engine mounts will offset engine towards the driver's side slightly, which will allow more clearance for front driveshaft.

Our well-thought out, CAD-designed engine mounts offset the engine mounts further forward on the block, which gives you the much needed clearance for your exhaust or aftermarket headers.

Most aftermarket block hugger-style headers will fit with these engine mounts, unlike the few competitors making conversion mounts that will only work with their headers.

The kit includes one pair of heavy duty conversion engine mounts.

NOTE: No engine block mounting bolts included.

    1. makes CJ Ls/Gen III swaps a breeze!

These mounts bolted right up to block and slid down on the frame rails making my Ls swap so much easier! Mounts are well built with thicker gauge steel and welds look good.
I was able to get mounts lined up with factory 6 bolt holes in cj7 frame for original motor mounts so I just drilled holes in frame plates and bolted mounts instead of welding. Has been holding up fine for the last month. It will also make engine removal easier in the future since I won’t be fighting lifting engine over frame mounts.
What attracted me to these mounts over competitors is that they allowed a wider variety of headers brands instead of having to use The over priced headers that X brand makes special to use with their conversion mounts. I used Speed Engineering block hugger headers for my conversion and had plenty of space around mounts that I was able to bolt headers on and set engine in frame. Also price was $100 cheaper than other cj specific mounts and only $50 more than universal mounts that work but you have to spend more time setting up.

Overall I highly recommend and would buy again!
