Our Jeep CJ full-width axle kit, 1976 to 1986, is the MOST COMPLETE KIT on the market and the MOST HEAVY-DUTY. This kit will also work on 1975 and older Jeep CJ's with modifications. To install a full width axle kit under the front of a Jeep CJ, you must move the front springs outboard the frame. We have come up with the most complete kit on the market with the highest quality of parts.
Jeep CJ full-width axle kit utilizes the conventional way with the shackles - so this is a NON-SHACKLE REVERSAL SETUP, which we feel is a much superior setup for off-road use, no need for special front driveshaft or tire compression issues with the back of the fender well.
All components are CNC cut and CNC bent from 3/16" and 1/4" thick HRP&O USA-made steel for a precise fit.
Rear mounts require drilling and welding and are designed to fit on the inside and outside of the frame, which sandwich the frame with included DOM sleeves for superior strength, unlike competitors that only weld to the outside of the frame and are prone to bending and cracking the frame! Front mounts bolt on using factory holes and are integrated with the front bumper, which adds a tremendous amount of extra strength to the front of the frame. Once this kit is fully mounted with the bumper, it will be noticeable how much tighter and more solid feeling the front of your Jeep is.
Kit includes our stubby rockcrawler front bumper with winch and fairlead mount and D-ring mounts. Fits most standard winches.
Kit is designed for 2 1/2" wide front springs.
Uses most Chevy, 78-79 Ford, full size Jeep, and Scout full width front axles.
Brackets are HEAVY DUTY 1/4" thick and includes high quality grade 8 mounting hardware with hardened flat washers and all metal lock nuts! Heavy wall D.O.M. tube spacers included for inside of frame.
Includes heavy-duty 1 1/2" diameter polyurethane shackle bushings and spacers for frame mounts.

NOTE: Due to slight varying frame widths on the CJs, the front main brackets must be welded to the inside of the bumper.
NOTE: This full width axle kit is the for the front axle only. A kit is not needed for the rear axle. On the rear, it is a matter of cutting the spring pads off the axle housing and relocating them to the correct location.
